The University of Winchester is seeking someone to join our team which is responsible for building and enhancing the digital skills for all of our students and staff.
In particular, we are looking for someone who is passionate about media, audio, and editing. These core digital skills are central to a number of our courses, but it is an area all students will need to have confidence in so they can fully participate in their studies. You will also have good technical knowledge to provide students with training to exploit access to professional cameras, lighting equipment, and much more. Alongside these skills the Digital Services Team also support digital literacy, resource discovery and of course making the most of our underpinning University end-user tools.
You will be responsible for preparing and delivering learning activities and the learning environment for a variety of audiences. You will be confident using a range of techniques, resources and media to support these activities, or you can demonstrate an aptitude for absorbing new skills and training others. Such activities could include in-person support and training sessions, on-line materials, self-assessment, peer-assisted learning, and simulation.
Core working hours will be 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, though some early evening and occasional weekend working is expected.
