The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a fixed term (maternity cover) Lecturer in Criminology within the Department of Applied Social Sciences. This is an exciting time to be a member of the Department as we build on our successful student recruitment and growing research presence.
We are seeking an academic with an ability and willingness to make a significant contribution to the growth of BA Criminology and MSc Criminology within the Department through teaching and research. The BA Criminology programme is an established, popular and successful programme within the Department and Faculty. The MSc in Applied Criminology has grown rapidly since its inception in 2015 and is now one of the largest taught Masters programmes in the University.
As our preferred candidate you will offer expertise in areas such as sex crime, criminological psychology, criminological research and applied criminology, and will be able to lead modules on the BA and MSc programmes in these and related areas.
