Student Services provides information, advice and guidance to students and staff across the University. Based within Student Services in the Wellbeing team, this post is responsible for developing and maintaining the provision of support and guidance to Faculty staff (academic and professional) in matters relating to student mental health and wellbeing.
Reporting to the Counselling and Mental Health Support Manager, working closely with all four Faculties, you will provide practical advice and guidance to Faculty colleagues on identifying, supporting and making appropriate referrals for students with mental health concerns enabling them to give positive, informed inclusive and appropriate support to students. This will include identifying and, where appropriate, delivering training.
The post is also responsible for leading the development of peer support networks, providing support to students as required, for wellbeing and mental health at the University, demonstrating an understanding of the unique potential of the student community in developing an inclusive and positive approach to mental health.
The successful post holder will also take the lead on health promotion activities within the University community, with a focus on student wellbeing.
